Man, it's been a good minute since I've updated this shit but I finally have time to sit down for a few and take my mind of things to reflect back. Lately, life has been pretty hectic with work, travel and setting up the warehouse. Where I have down time, I usually use that time to arrange things for my cars or go run personal errands.
I had to go back to my previous post to look at what I had written since the car has gone through a slight transformation since then. Most importantly, the Regamasters and Renegade CF wing stands are finally on so the car, from the outside, looks about how I imagined it to look. Since this was mainly to be used as a track car, I added a splitter up front and Arvou tow hook to help. These were the few other exterior bits that were added but they're more for function than make the car look more aesthetically pleasing.
As for the suspension, Ikeya arms were added up front to help with camber and clearing the front fenders. I also switched out my JRZ RS Pro for Motorsports 11 because... just because.
I also wanted to add a Kaaz differential but Puddymod is booked until December for work. Luckily for me, Son had the diff from his previous s2000 that I borrowed and added new OEM diff mounts with EVS collars to help fix my busted OEM mounts. Since I plan on doing SC in the future, I changed out my clutch to ACT pressure plate, OEM clutch, and Toda Flywheel along with Toda headers since the OEM needs to be removed to do the clutch job. While we were at it, I also asked Son and Formula S to add Vibra Technics engine mounts and Innovative trans mounts.
Lastly, I changed out my exhaust from the Remark x Zero Auto 60mm to the EVS 70mm. I have to admit, I really hated doing this one since the Remark x Zero Auto was one of the best sounding exhaust with really impressive build quality compared to the EVS. However, since I'm going FI, it made sense to go 70mm.
For the interior, I originally swapped out my RSGK for HANS SPA but it hurts driving it longer than an hour because I'm fat. Switched out to the Recaro RMS since that was more of a compromise seat.

With that out of the way, I can finally talk a little about the FI setup I'm looking forward to putting on. Last time I went with a FI kit, it was for my FRS with the HKS kit. For those that don't know, I blew up the car a few months after installing it 😅. Since I'm a sucker for masochism and old habits die hard, I also decided to buy a HKS sc kit for the s2000 exactly 6 years later. I've heard from Son that S2 tend to have some heating issue with FI and hopefully I can find some solutions for that from my past experience. In the mean time, I decided to send out the highboost pulley to Carbinite to apply a coating to reduce slippage, Radium Fuel Rail, Injector Dynamics 1050x, Radium FPR to convert to return system and Walbro e85 pump and run only pump e85. I'll add some sensors to my Motec display so I can have a better idea of what my temps are and adjust accordingly. For starters, I'll probably do an external oil cooler and duct the kit. Until then, I dunno.
