End of the Year Thoughts
It's been a wild year for everyone, I'm sure. For me, the year has gone by quickly from a time perspective. It felt like it was just last week when quarantine happened. From an event perspective though, so much has happened that my road trip in June from Chicago to Los Angeles felt like it was a year ago. I guess maybe I'm at the age where perception between time and event is starting to separate. Regardless, I know that for many, it's been a horrible year. I know that 2021 won't necessarily be a hard reset like all the memes indicate but I hope it's a healing year for those affected. I'm not going to go into how the year was for me because I feel that my view on 2020 is an outlier to most. This would be ridiculously tone deaf for me to write. With covid vaccine getting ready to prove their worth in the upcoming weeks or months, let's just hope that there will be slight return to normalcy while maintaining vigilance as we proceed.
